Your family’s information stays your family’s.

Fivey needs context to be useful. That does not mean it needs everything, or that you give up control. Effective date: September 15, 2026. Fivey is operated by SF6 LLC, 667 Madison Avenue, New York, NY 10065.

    What Fivey uses

Fivey uses the school, calendar, household, and family information you choose to connect, photograph, or tell Fivey. It uses that to prepare your family’s plans, drafts, and reminders.

    What Fivey does not do

We do not sell your family’s information, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.

Fivey never puts a sponsored product, brand, or paid suggestion inside your lists, bookings, reminders, or anything it writes to you. When it suggests a shop, a class, or a place, it is because it fits your family — never because someone paid for it to appear.

Your household is kept separate from other families. Other Fivey families cannot see your information.

    Children's information

Fivey is a service for parents. Children do not sign in, are not asked for anything, and never interact with Fivey directly — a parent is always the one connecting an account or telling Fivey about the family.

Because school life is the point, a parent's household may include children's names, ages, year groups, schools, schedules, and homework. We treat that as the most sensitive information we hold: it is used only to run your household's plans and reminders, it is never sold, never used for advertising, and never used to train AI models. It is not shared outside your household except with the services needed to deliver Fivey.

A parent can see, correct, or delete anything held about their child at any time, and can ask us to stop holding it altogether.

    How long we keep things

We keep your household's information for as long as your account is open, because Fivey's usefulness comes from remembering. Uploaded letters, photos, and messages are kept while they are still relevant to your family's year.

If you close your account, we delete your household's information — including children's details, uploads, and messages — within 30 days, apart from anything we must keep by law. Inactive accounts are deleted after 24 months, and we write to you before that happens.

    Text messages

If you choose to use Fivey by text, we use your phone number only to send and receive the messages you asked for — your reminders, your questions, and Fivey's replies. We deliver them through Twilio, our messaging provider, and your number is not shared with anyone else or used for marketing.

Fivey only texts you first when you have asked it to — a reminder you set, or something time-sensitive you told it to watch for. You can stop texts at any time by replying STOP, and you can see and delete your message history like anything else in your household.

If you send Fivey a voice note, it is turned into text by a speech-to-text service that does not use it to train its models. The audio is deleted as soon as it has been read; only the text is kept, in your message history.

Text messaging rates from your mobile carrier may apply, and delivery depends on your carrier.

    Connected Google accounts

If you connect Gmail, Fivey reads your email to find school and family dates, forms and deadlines, and sends only the messages you have approved. Fivey’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements: Gmail data is used only to provide these features, never for advertising, never sold, and never used to train general AI models. No person reads your email except with your permission, for security, or where the law requires it.

    Cookies

Fivey sets only what is needed to keep you signed in unless you agree to measurement cookies, which count visits so we know which pages help. Nothing loads before you choose, and you can change your mind by clearing this site's data in your browser.

    You stay in control

If you connect a calendar service (such as Google, Apple, or Outlook), you can disconnect it at any time, and we will stop syncing new events to that calendar.

You can delete your household account yourself in Settings. Your information, including uploaded letters and photos, is deleted from Fivey immediately and from our backups within 30 days. We also ask our texting provider, Twilio, to delete its stored message records; Twilio may keep limited billing records under its own rules. One thing is kept: a helper's yes or no to receiving texts, for 4 years with no link to your family, as proof we had permission. Events already on your own calendar stay there. You can also email hello@heyfivey.com to opt out of texts, update your details, or ask for deletion.
