ClassDojo
How to get ClassDojo events into your Google Calendar
Field trip, class party, spirit day: it's all in ClassDojo, and none of it is in the calendar you actually check. If you've hunted for a sync button in the parent app, it isn't you. It isn't there.

The quick answer
As of November 2026, ClassDojo's Google and Apple calendar sync is for teachers and school staff, not families. Start with your school's website: most schools, public and private, publish a calendar you can subscribe to for school-wide dates. For class events that only live in ClassDojo, add them by hand, ask the teacher to share a class calendar, or let an assistant like Fivey read them for you.
Your options today
- 1
Check your school or district website first. Most schools, public and private, publish a calendar, and many have a Subscribe, iCal or Add to Google Calendar button. Many private schools keep the full calendar in the parent portal (Blackbaud, Finalsite), with a personal subscribe link inside. Add that link in Google Calendar under Other calendars, From URL, and you'll have holidays, early release days and conferences without typing a thing.
- 2
Add each event by hand: open the event in ClassDojo, then create the same event in Google Calendar with the date, time and anything your child needs to bring.
- 3
Ask the teacher: teachers can sync their ClassDojo events to their own Google or Apple calendar. Some are happy to share a class calendar link with families, which you add in Google Calendar under Other calendars, From URL.
- 4
Keep ClassDojo's email notifications on. Installing the ClassDojo app can switch them off, and then new events only reach you inside the app. Check in ClassDojo's notification settings that email is still on.
ClassDojo's help center describes calendar syncing as a feature for teachers and school staff, set up on the website. If that changes for families, we'll update this page.
What that gets you, and what it doesn't
You get
- School-wide dates from the school's own website calendar
- Events visible in the ClassDojo app
- Reminders from ClassDojo, inside ClassDojo
- A shared class calendar, if your teacher sets one up
You still have to
- Copy class-only events (trips, parties, spirit days) into your calendar by hand
- Remember what to bring, wear or sign
- Line it up with practice, pickup and the other kids' week
- Keep your partner or sitter in the loop
How Fivey closes the gap
It finds the school calendar for you
Tell Fivey your school at setup. It looks up the school's website and finds the calendar page and term dates, so the school-wide dates are covered before ClassDojo even comes into it.
Send a screenshot
Screenshot the event in ClassDojo and text it to Fivey. Fivey reads the date, time and details and puts it on your family's calendar against the right child.
Or let Fivey read the emails
With ClassDojo's email notifications on, Fivey reads those along with the rest of your school mail and pulls out the dates and the jobs. If the app switched them off, Fivey can't see them, so it's worth a check.
Then it does the part a calendar can't
Fivey checks the new event against the rest of the week, flags a clash with a fix ready, and reminds you about the costume or the form the night before.
You just say yes. How Fivey asks.
